How does St MArtins Wild Sauna work?
​​
To enjoy the restorative power of deep heat & cold dip, St Martins Wild Sauna offer 1 hour sessions, giving you time to feel the benefits and fully relax.
​
Our 1 hour slots (over 16's only) can be booked as part of a communal session, or book private hire to enjoy a sauna experience with a group of your choosing. Maximum 8 people per session.
Prices: Communal Sessions: £13pp.
Private Hire: £60 for up to 5 people with £10 per additional person thereafter (Maximum 8)

Post-Sauna Refreshment
Refreshing can of post-sauna Quas
Authentic live Kvass (Quas), ice cold, perfect for your post-sauna replenishment.

Kvass is a 1000 year-old, healthy, non-alcoholic beverage, made from fermented rye and barley and traditionally part of Eastern European sauna ritual.

ST martins wild sauna FAQ's & General info

Arriving at St Martins Wild Sauna: Please arrive 10 minutes before your session is due to begin. It is preferable to use the toilet before arrival and be wearing your swimwear under clothing or dryrobe, in order to maximise your session time.

What to expect: There will be up to eight of you sharing the sauna. Your sauna host will greet you and guide you to the entrance. You will be briefed on how to get the best experience out of your session and some safety info.

​What to bring: Please bring the following items with you and please be aware, changing facilities are limited, this is a wild sauna, changing in an outdoor environment is all part of the 'immerse yourself in nature' experience.

Swimwear: for a quick change it is best to arrive wearing your swimwear under your clothes or dryrobe.​

Towel: bring a towel to sit on in the sauna (a second towel is handy for drying off with but not essential).

Flip flops / sliders / anything easy on off. These are to wear when walking between sauna & cold plunge. You can also go barefoot onsite. Please do not wear footwear in the sauna.

General Safety

​ Don't attend the sauna if you are currently unwell, especially if you are contagious

Consult your GP before using the sauna or cold plunges if you have any medical conditions that could pose a health risk, including (but not limited to):
High or low blood pressure, heart or circulatory disorders, Epilepsy or diabetes, any wounds (especially following surgery), pregnancy, have had a heart attack or stroke, suffer from dizzyness.

Avoid alcohol and drugs before and during sauna use.

Remove jewellery (and glasses if possible) before entering the sauna to prevent burns.

Enter and exit the sauna with care, wet feet can be slippery, avoid touching the stove, rocks, fire guards or chimney, they are hot!

When in the sauna, listen to your body and leave immediately if you start to feel uncomfortable, dizzy, lightheaded or nauseous. Limit sauna sessions to 15 - 20 mins or less.

Enter the cold plunge gradually and carefully, leaving a bit of time to cool down first after exiting the sauna. Make sure you can tolerate the cold temperature and ensure someone is with you while you are in the plunge.

No Under 16's​​: children are not able to regulate their body temperature as effectively as adults. Due to insurance terms, no under 16's are allowed to use the cold plunge or showers.

Sauna Etiquette

Hygiene: For the enjoyment of your fellow sauna group and the cleanliness of the sauna, please arrive clean. Suncream or oils should be washed off before using the facilities, a cold shower is available on site.​​

Towels: Please sit on a towel in the sauna, wear a bathing costume and remove shoes before entering.​​

Cold Plunge Tubs: Please use the shower to rinse off before using the cold dip tanks.​​

Ask before adding water to the stones: Always check with your sauna group before adding water to the stones. We suggest pouring between half to a whole ladle of water and then allowing the heat to take effect. Always remember to pour from back to front to avoid scalding from the steam.

Respect: respect others' personal space and right to peace.
